    I like to write.

    I have never done a blog before. I started out thinking that this one would only have news and pointers to stuff on other pages of my web site, but it is turning out to be more diverse.

    How odd to a long-time science fiction fan is the word “blog” in its present context! “Blog” used to mean a beverage – something you would order with crottled greeps, to wash down the taste, or otherwise make you forget about it as much as possible, at least for a while. Oh, well…

    And by the way — if you don’t know what crottled greeps are, may I respectfully recommend that you should not order them.
